Returns & Refunds Policy

Returns are only accepted if the wrong items are accidentally shipped out to you. If this does occur, please get in touch via email at hello@borjamoronta.com providing order number and images of the goods received.

In the event that an order is refused upon delivery, or not collected from the local post office/pick up point, a refund for the total amount of the goods, minus a 10% handling fee will be processed once the goods have been received back in good condition. Please understand that shipping costs are not refundable in any case.

Shipping

Any orders placed through my shop updates are packed and shipped within 7 working days following the purchase. Once the couriers collect the parcels, they would normally deliver in the following 4-6 working days within the UK. For orders placed from abroad, these times may vary and be as long as 2-3 weeks depending on the country of destination.

When an item is sent from my studio to be shipped abroad, it is in the jurisdiction of the receiving country’s postage service and customs. If for whatever reason something goes missing, please get in touch with myself and the postage companies. I’ll always try my best to help the situation but occasionally things can go wrong, in which case please get in touch and we can arrange a refund or for another order to be sent out. This happens very rarely and I deal with any instances of breakage/missing items on a case by case basis.

There might be tax or customs charges on some items shipped abroad. It is recommended that all customs and fees information from your country’s customs agency are checked prior ordering to avoid disappointments. Please keep in mind that you may need to pay customs fees upon pick up of your parcel.

Care recommendations

My work is made with high temperature fired stoneware, meaning they are more susceptible to chipping compared to mass produced wares. Please understand that my work is aimed to be as thinly and lightly made as possible, making them more fragile than regular mass produced ceramics or the majority of handmade pieces.

Matte glazed pieces will inherently stain or mark overtime, . They are everyday use objects, however they’re artisan and therefore require more care than normal mass produced ceramics.

Please handle your ceramics with care, wash by hand if possible and refrain from using any strongly staining foods/liquids with them. A wash quickly after use and/or not leaving liquid on them overnight or for long periods of time is recommended. Although my pieces are safe to be used in the dishwasher or microwave, they aren’t as durable as factory made wares, and it is best for them if they aren’t use in a dishwasher or microwave.

Some pieces may appear differently from that pictured as every piece is worked on individually throughout the different stages of the process. All of my pieces are handmade and therefore subtle differences are expected from item to item. As pots are made in different batches, please expect variations in terms of size, shape and glaze colour in between batches and shop updates.

I will maintain the information sent via e-mail in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

All e-mails sent from us will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails or by contacting us. However, you will continue to receive essential transactional emails.

Changes and amendments

I reserve the right to modify this Policy or its terms relating to the Website and Services from time to time in our discretion and will notify you of any material changes to the way in which we treat Personal Information. When we do, I will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page.
